Student Says Professor Sexually Harassed Her – Courant.com.

I’m not all surprise that this is going on at Southern Connecticut State University. After hearing this in the news and online, I would say that the  University has inept and incompetent people running the place. I definitely feel sorry for Wendy Wyler for having that professor ruin her college career and that the University didn’t fire him right there on the spot. I think the University is being lazy and being run by inept and incompetent people.  Only those in a clique are being allowed to run free and even allowed to do as they please at the University. Maybe this is why the University is in decline.

You know if this happened off campus in the corporate real world, You know someone would be suing the company and someone would be fired right on the spot. But you know what it’s a State College and it would take a long time to get rid of a professor after being sued for sexual harassment. I also know after the University and the State finish paying the lawsuit, guess who suffers in the end. The Taxpayers and the University Students who will face another tuition hike, just to pay off the lawsuit.

My Suggestion to Board of regents, is to clean house, get rid of the sick, lame and lazy people working at the Connecticut State university system. Do a completely major overhaul on the State university education system and weed out those who don’t want to do their job and get rid of the lame, lazy and even those who don’t help students succeed. Hire innovative and professors who do want to be their and want to see students graduate.

Here’s the video from WTNH on the Lawsuit and I am not surprise about that as well

Summer’s winding down

Summer’s over for me and now I have to look forward to another academic year at Southern Connecticut State University. I know I have an agenda to keep and I have things that I must do. Some of them include getting my GPA up to Par. Finishing my third Poetry book and trying to find ways to keep my EMT skills sharp and up to par. Even if I have time, to maybe to find some time for campus social and campus activity scene to make new friends as well.

In terms of Academics, I have to work my ass off to keep my GPA and that means, I have to hustle my butt to keep up my GPA and stay on top of all my classes.  That means I can’t slack off and I can’t relax. I have to work hard for my GPA and work hard to keep up some good standings with the school as well.

As far as trying get involve on campus, I still have a hard time trying to get involve on campus and like last year where I got burned for trying.  It made me feel like why in the hell would I want to join an on campus club or group when I wasn’t welcomed or felt welcomed. So for me, it’s going to be an Iffy for me if I want to get involve on campus and I’ll at least play it by ear and see if they are inclusive and welcoming. If not, I’m going to avoid the campus clubs like the plague and do things on my own and possibly away from campus.

As far as for my Poetry book is concerned, I plan to have that finished by the middle of Fall semester sometime before Thanksgiving break. By then, that will be a third poetry book that I have written. From their, I may decide to take a break or work on a fourth book which could be a short story series or a novel.  I will be publishing it from the same publisher as my third book.  As far as writing poetry, I have written as often as I can and when ever I am in the writing mood.

As far as maintaining my EMT skills, from my Last State exam I had to take. It took my 3 times to pass the written and  showed how severely I am lacking in my EMS skills. That means for me I have to find ways in keeping my EMT Skills Sharp and on par with every other EMT. So I have to find ways to keep my EMT going and find a place where I can keep my skills current. On top of that I am looking at advancing from being an EMT to an EMT-Intermediate. That would mean I would be able to do ACLS care and IV lines. It would mean I would have to devout some time to keep my EMT Card.

So as you can see, I have a lot on my plate for the fall semester and I have a lot to do and manage. It’s going to take a lot out of me and something I have to stay on top of as well. I have a lot to do in the fall semester and I have a lot to do as well.

The time has come to fix flawed student governments | USA TODAY College

The time has come to fix flawed student governments | USA TODAY College.

I saw this post online and this reminds me of my student government at Southern Connecticut state university. It acts so clickish that it doesn’t welcome any students, it doesn’t make them feel like their part of the campus community and even turns students off. It literally gives students the cold shoulder and makes them feel like if your not part of SGA or any club or Greek life on campus, your a nobody and not important to them.  It needs a major overhaul and on the top of my list is to get rid of the clickish atmosphere that is rampant with student government and student life at large at Southern Connecticut State University. It breeds clicks and it feeds off to other student groups, clubs, fraternities and sororities on campus. It makes it feel like if your not part of campus social scene, then your a nobody to them.

That’s why It’s very hard for students like myself to get involve in on campus groups, clubs and fraternities. It’s because it’s very clickish and virtually their are two clubs in one club. For example, their are Hall council for any resident students to join, but within a Hall council, their are Eboards that act clickish like and have their own clicks that are separate from the rest of the club. Even with all the social clubs on campus, they act very clickish and have clicks within the club and within the deeper Eboards.

It’s why I’ll never ever get involve with on campus groups, clubs or even fraternities because after what I have seen at Southern Connecticut State university. The Student government, clubs and Greek life on campus, they act very clickish and act as if your not with them, your nothing to them. That’s why Clubs, SGA, and Greek life on my campus see’s students who are with them as a nobody and not important to the campus community. Your wonder why no one wants to be involve on campus when you have groups on campus acting very clikish and no one is doing a thing to stop this clickish mentality that exist at Southern Connecticut state university.

I saw these two as I was walking to class from Dunkin Donuts. It made me wonder if they were walking to class like everyone else on Campus. Though they do like to poke fun at us for walking to class. These Canadian Geese have made their presence at Southern Connecticut State University and they are here to stay until they migrate south in the Fall.
