Today has become the darkest day in the State of Connecticut. 27 people won’t be coming home from school. All because some lunatic went nuts and massacred 27 people including children of all people. It’s sad when it involves kids as young as 5 yrs old to 11 yrs old. The shooter is a 20 yr old who is rumored to have some form of Autism, Aspergers and some psychiatric problems. The worst part, he shot his mother in the face as well.
The Shooting happened at Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut around 9:30 Am. It was shocking to hear that, when I woke up this morning to study and get ready for my Human Biology final exam. It started out as a local story, which started to go National and now it went global with every major news station talking about it.
I feel sorry that those 27 people at Sandy hook Elementary school who are not going to be coming home. That gunman, deserves Hell for what he did. Those kids will be traumatized for the rest of their life and that school & town will never ever be the same again. Even the Volunteer fire dept in that town will never be the same. The people that responded including the Connecticut State police will be scared and traumatized for the rest of their life.
It’s why I think schools should have armed security guards and put cameras and locked doors to the school grounds. On top of that, their should be a sensible gun control laws, where we would ban anyone with a criminal record, convicted felon or a history of mental illness or hospitalization in a mental institution from ever owning a gun. Should institute mandatory FBI background check on all gun owner applications.
For now, it’s time to pray, reflect and remember the 27 people who won’t be coming home for Christmas. It’s a sad day in the state of Connecticut and let’s all remember those at Sandy Hook Elementary school.
