I hate to say this, at least Russian President Vladimir Putin has more leadership balls than President Obama put together. Atleast with Putin, he tells it like it is and lays out the plan for the American people in the newspaper. I only wish Obama could emulate like Putin in terms of Leadership style and Manning up like Putin. Obama needs to do more to sell the Syria plan to the American public, but instead he’s a day late and a dollar short. I am really surprised that Vladimir Putin is speaking to the American public that is war-weary and in an economic slump.
Out of his entire editorial, one paragraph should give the American public something to think about. Think what would happen if we started attacking Syria and what would Syria, Hezbollah and Iran would do to Israel. This one quote makes it clear;
The potential strike by the United States against Syria, despite strong opposition from many countries and major political and religious leaders, including the pope, will result in more innocent victims and escalation, potentially spreading the conflict far beyond Syria’s borders. A strike would increase violence and unleash a new wave of terrorism. It could undermine multilateral efforts to resolve the Iranian nuclear problem and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and further destabilize the Middle East and North Africa. It could throw the entire system of international law and order out of balance.
What’s clear is that Putin is laying it out, what would happen if America attacks Syria. He’s saying that if we attack Syria, Iran and Hezbollah retaliates by attacking Israel. Is Obama willing to throw Israel under the bus for the sake of the Syrian Rebels and play like a fool to Putin. I wonder how much is he willing to risk the Israeli card for the Syrian rebels. Only time will tell, and we’ll have to wait and see how this will all play out. Now, Putin seems to have the ball and is really playing Obama for a fool and Obama has become Putin’s bitch.
